About the Role
Morgan Stanley is seeking an Automation Associate / Developer to join the DWTO Automation team within the Operations division. This Associate-level role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and delivering automation solutions that enhance operational capacity, improve workflow efficiency, and support regulatory and strategic initiatives.
The Automation team works closely with Run-the-Business (RTB) teams across DWTO to deliver high-impact business outcomes through innovation and technology.

Key Responsibilities
Work as part of the DWTO Automation team supporting Tax, MSAW, and E TRADE operational functions (Correspondence, Middle Office, Margin, etc.)
Develop strong business understanding across DWTO operational processes
Gain exposure to Morgan Stanley’s diverse businesses and client segments (Institutional, Wealth Management, Retirement, Stock Plan, etc.)
Partner with end users to identify automation opportunities and design optimal solutions using firm-approved tools
Develop, debug, and maintain automation and production tools
Prepare senior management reports and status updates
Support process execution, project delivery, and change initiatives
Identify risks in daily operations and contribute to process improvements
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and team members
Participate in projects with a focus on timely and effective execution
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
* 2+ years of experience in program/project management, process engineering, or strategy
* Strong understanding of business processes and control requirements
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to learn complex technical regulations and operational processes
* Demonstrated alignment with Morgan Stanley’s core values and culture
Technical Skills (Preferred)
Automation & Analytics Tools: UIPath, PowerBI, Alteryx
Programming & Data: Python, SQL, VBA, XML, HTML
Databases & Platforms: Excel, Access, DataIKU
Experience in financial services is a plus
